Dear,

Here is a summary of CREAM-IV flight preparation status on the 22nd of November at McMurdo.

  • Weather briefing shows no significant changes in the stratosphere. Not so much winds for next few days.
  • Parameter uploading in the Iridium mode test postponed to next time from WFF.
  • Playback of remaining data set has completed.
  • 50 k events of muon data taken with TCD/CD/CER for high statistics data.
  • Rotator was tested by Drew (CSBF) with the payload successfully. It shows about 1 mrad accuracy by having 1 cm difference between the initial position and the final position with a radius of 1.4 m.
  • The followings are to do list before the CPT in the next week.
  • The top SCD data is unstable in the gain runs as we have seen before. Will be checked before the CPT with the CDM starts next Wednesday.
  • The calorimeter MB#7 temperature HSK display is incorrect as we have been seen. Will replace the board before the next CPT also.
  • The hang test is now planned to be on the 27th (NZT)/26th (EST). The CPT will be from the 24th (Mon)/23rd (Sun) to the 26th (Wed)/25th (Tue). SOC should be prepared during those tests. I will confirm when the TDRSS will open during the test.

Cheers, MooHyun.
