Dear,

Here is a summary of CREAM-IV flight preparation status on the 20th of November at McMurdo.

  • Not so much wind outside the building and the TDRSS antenna located outside did not have any problems during the End-to-End test this afternoon.
  •

Weather briefing shows no significant changes in the stratosphere.

  • The End-to-End test between ROCC/OCC/ESC/UMD through TDRSS connection started from 1 PM and finished successfully at 4:30 PM.
  • When the commanding test from UMD started, it did not work at the beginning. After correction of the DNS address and a few reboots of the cdps1, the cdps1 could be connected from WFF. After that the WFF machine rebooted and the commanding started working. A few commands and scripts for starting the flight mode were sent successfully.
  • The test was done for both ESC1 and ESC2 computers successfully.
  • The Iridium mode was tried but there was a problem with a Iridium machine at WFF to connect outside via network.
  • The Iridium mode connection test will be started from 9 AM (NZT) / 3 PM (EST) tomorrow after fixing the PC at WFF for the Iridium connection.
  • After the Iridium test, the LPT with the CDM will start.
  • The followings are to do list before the CPT in the next week.
  • The top SCD data is unstable in the gain runs as we have seen before. Will be checked before the CPT with the CDM starts next Wednesday.
  • The calorimeter MB#7 temperature HSK display is incorrect as we have been seen. Will replace the board before the next CPT also.

Cheers, MooHyun.
