Dear colleagues,
Here is a summary of today's activites at CSBF.
- There was no power stoppage during the overnight muon run again.
- Test data in 24th and 25th were transferred to the cdps3.
Debugging of the reduced hsk data continued today by Prashant with the Iridium connection from the CDM. Finally, he came up with a solution with the problem. Now the reduced hsk in the Iridium mode works even with two different sets, one original and the other for the CER and TCD. The details will be explained by Prashant in a separate e-mail.
- After the test, there were some update discussed related with the 2 channels vacant for the 2nd packet and sequence of the hsk display. For example, TCD and CD related hsk data will be grouped together.
- Chercam HSK signals from pin #10 and 22 in the oscilloscope were captured by the digital camera and uploaded on the black board for a reference.
- SangEun continue working on the SIP interface coding. Has been working very hard and wants to present the progress report after the current coding on the serial communication is done since it requires lots of concentration.
- Fritz completed 2 side foam walls today and one of them was installed.
- The event display program tested at the cdps5 and worked fine. Dave and Fritz appreciated the event display that they now know the CREAM-IV instrument is working. The tracking also worked when there are not so many noise hits in tSCD and bSCD.
Here are things to do.
- Confirmation of the reduced hsk display in Iridium mode in the morning with an updated hsk display.
- SFC1/2 CPT tests with those 2nd bootable disks.
- Chercam HSK problem debugging.
- TCD 12 V HSK attenuation circuit installation.
- Mechanical integration continues by Fritz. The other two side foam walls would be completed. If possible skirts between those walls and the pallets will be worked on.
- Update of manuals including CPT.
- Copying and backup of newly taken integration data into cdps3 at UMD and client PCs at CSBF.
- Adding another Ethernet card to cdps5 for a dual connection to local network and to outside.
Please let us know if you have any questions/comments/suggestions.
Cheers, MooHyun.
