CREAM Flight 2010
[ICE-4] CPT, Nov. 8th 2010
- Details
Before starting CPT, Ludo checked HSK box
and fixed some red color parameters
on the HSK monitor and made them to green ones
(on tSCD/CherCam).
We finished Instrument CPT in the afternoon,
and continued CAL CPT.
We will finish all CPTs by tomorrow.
Tomorrow afternoon, we will connect SIP to our SEI computer locally
so that we can send commands and get data through SIP.
We expect to finish Combined CPT by 11/10/Wed(NZT).
If everything goes well, we will try a connection test with SOC on 11/11/Thur (NZT).
Today, it was clear and warm in the morning, but in the field it was changed to strong wind in the afternoon.

[ICE-7] E-E, Nov. 11th 2010
- Details
We started End-End test from 12:30 pm NZT.
All routes except IRIDIUM dial-up modes showed good connections.
Data/command flow showed no problems through TDRSS/IRIDIUM/PCM Enc.
IRIDIUM dial-up modes connection status was not good, so we will do it again later.
SOC did good jobs to change modes, power off/on and flight mode set up.
Today, the weather was beautiful: clear sky/no wind/no snow/moderate temperature.

[ICE-6] Ready for E-E, Nov. 10th 2010
- Details
bSCD bad channel signals has gone after the long term test.
Before CHER LED run, we stopped arch run after flight mode run
and right after that SFC was caught by signal 11 and hung up.
After being hung up, cdaq_ssio restarted autometically, but stopped at the same time.
(two things to consider:
1. The signal 11 was happended at "cdaq_ssio" after a recording mode
change like stopping archives.
2. Auto restart process of "cdaq_ssio" started when it was hung up but not successfully.)
JH finished Combined CPT with SFC2 (through SIP).
CherCam LED run was done with a direct connection to SFC2.
HGA and Omni antenas were installed to the top of the payload.
Tomorrow we weill do End-End test from 12 pm NZT,
but it could be postponed to the next day in case of bad weather in Willy Field.
Today it was clear/warm/no wind, but tomorrow, we expect snow.

[ICE-5] CPT done, Nov. 9th 2010
- Details
JH checked SCD spar. cables. After she hooked them off and up,
some of bad channel signals were gone
(It might be connection problems).
Bad channel signal of CAL was also disappeared by itself.
We finished CPT in the afternoon successfully.
We connected SIP through the local SEI computer and checked commands/data flow.
Both SFC1 & SFC2 showed good connectons and commands/data flow.
LPT with SFC1/SIP were done partly (Combined CPT).
Currently SFC2 in flight mode is running until tomorrow morning for a long term test.
Now we are ready to do an End-to-End test with SOC.
A connection test with SOC is scheduled on Nov 11, 12 pm (NZT) (Nov 10, 6 pm EST),
due to TDRSS time (1pm~).
SOC, please be prepared!
Here is an updated schedule (NZT)
11/10(Wed) - Combined CPT with SFC2 / Install HGA
11/11(Thur) - Connection Test with SOC from 12 pm (IRID/TDRSS/PCM)
11/12(Fri) - Install solar array
11/13(Sat) - Install solar array
11/14(Sun)
11/15(Mon) - Wire solar array/Route rotator
11/16(Tue) - Shielding
11/17(Wed) - Hang Test
David told me the ULDB gondolla will be moved to upstairs for the integration.
Today, it was pretty good in weather - clear/warm/no wind (became windy in the evening).

[ICE-3] SIP installed, Nov. 7th 2010
- Details
According to the LPT, bottom SCD showed many bad channels.
CAL/Top SCD/CherCam looked normal.
After having lunch, Chris and we tested the (battery) power system and checked
temperature sensors on CREAM instruments.
SIP was installed after the test.
Chris turned on the power and we started a flight mode run w/ all detectors on
(direct connection to SFC1).
We will keep turning on CREAM-VI until tomorrow morning to see how it goes
(It will be a long term test w/o turning on of CAL/CherCam HV).
Here is a proposed plan until the Hang Test.
11/7: done LPT/Power system/Sensor Check/Installed SIP/Flight mode run
11/8: CPT (SFC1)
11/9: Combined CPT
11/10: Data flow test with HGA / End-to-End Test
11/11: Combined CPT (SFC2)
11/12: Data flow test (SOC) / Install SIP solar array
11/13: Long term test
11/14: Sunday
11/15: Wire Solar array
11/16: Wire SIP Solar array / Shilding
11:17: Route rotator cable / weigh payload
11/18: Hang Test
